In January 2020, just three months before the first Covid lockdown, Millie McPherson lost her husband after a ten-month fight with cancer. Locked in her house for weeks during the Covid outbreak with her children and sister, it was an especially hard time for Millie to come to terms with her loss and find space to grieve.

Once lockdown lifted, Millie began doing gardening for friends, which soon led to the occasional house clean. That, in turn, led to her mowing lawns for one of her client's fathers — and a month later, she was offered the lawn business outright. From there, Angels Inside'N'Out was born.

In March 2021, Millie met Cedric, also a widower, who became a silent partner in her growing business. By September 2021, the two had formally established Angels Inside'N'Out Limited together — and in May 2022, Millie and Cedric were married.

Today, Angels Inside'N'Out is a high-end cleaning, lawn mowing and property maintenance company, built from the ground up on Millie's resilience and Cedric's steady partnership.

Millie and Cedric both have big hearts for people, and often go the extra mile for clients whose circumstances mean they need a little extra help — the ones they call their "Heart Clients." Both have practised "pay it forward" for years, and in January 2023, that spirit grew into The Angels Foundation, set up to provide services to Heart Clients referred to them by staff, friends and existing clients.

From heartbreak to partnership, from a single lawnmower to a company built on generosity — this is Millie's story, and it's still being written.
